Does anybody have any experience with installing Joomla 1.5? I've done a few installs on GoDaddy, which makes it a no-brainer, but I've never done a semi-manual install.
I'm on Linux, 1.3.34 (Unix) with MySQL version 4.1.22.
I get to step 4, the Database Configuration and it keeps stalling...no error, no nothing.
I'm a big-time noob to the backend stuff, I just do what I have to do to get my designs and ideas online, so please go easy on me.
I tried changing chmod to 777, re-uploaded the installation files, created different databases, etc. Still, I get the same response (or lack of).
Please help if you can.
