"today i have fixed 2 hacked servers and found cpanel has a new script which will help temendously.
/scripts/securetmp
this script secures the /tmp directory - it makes it impossible to execute anything from the temp directory. this stops most all the udp floods and outgoing attacks that hackers put in the tmp directory. the tmp directory is what hackers have access to via web browser httpd exploits and such and thats how and where they upload the flooding scripts . now, after you run the /scripts/securetmp, they may be able to upload files to the /tmp but they cant run them
