Hi,
use this tool very often to know if someone has modified your system binaries. You can download it from here : http://www.chkrootkit.org/

I have find it very useful to protect my servers.

I use it via cron following the instruction on the site. Here it is :

Yes. For example, to run chkrootkit every day at 3am and mail the output to root:

0 3 * * * (cd /path/to/chkrootkit; ./chkrootkit 2>&1 | mail -s "chkrootkit output" root)
