Hi Atjeu guys, Why no email invoices been delivered to your dedicated clients?

I am having difficulties with tracing the credit card transactions on my CC account. since I have many other transactions. it make things worst. As you guys put a support ticket system, will be a good idea to get a billing system too.. just a suggestion will help most of your clients, including me.

Yes, that is a good idea. We have been working on that for a long time. Basically to do invoices we have to do them by hand and it takes forever and in all reality we do not charge enough money per month for our servers to warrant the labor of manually making invoices for all our clients each month. Therefore we have been looking for an automated solution. One of the reasons we went with the help desk we have is they were supposed to have a corresponding billing portion of the software out months ago. As of yet it has still not been released. When it is we will probably get it and it will automate the billing part such that customers can get invoices at will. However we want the integrated solution so we are at the mercy of the HD makers on this one right now.

I would prefer low prices to a piece of paper that tells me what i already know!

Keep up the great work, not up keep the paper work!

Bern, We are not talking about paper work, but a mail notification, with the invoice amounts will be fine. if you are running company, then it is an important stuff.

I agree... Maybe Atjeu could spend a little time on developing some sort of application for that purpose: online invoice or something? Would be great =)

A great billing program for ISP's and service providers is Optigold ISP from Digitalpoint. It's very flexible and works great.

A billing solution you might want to look at is ModernBill.com. The billing system is quite amazing (we've been using it for over a year now). Version 4, due out soon, will have FULL integration with CPanel, Plesk, Ensim etc. When a client signs up for an account, everything will be automatic on the server end.

As I said, we've been using it for quite some time, and couldn't function without it.

Update on the invoices - we have employed a programmer full time for the last few months developing a suite of tools which will allow all customers to get invoices online, see what their charges were for and when they were made, and check bandwidth graphs and to the second GB transfered - we hope to roll it out Jan 1, 2003

Wow, that sounds real great! smile.gif Will the GB transferred be displayed as a clear number (unlike on hotsanic/rrdgraph)?

So, this will also enable clients to check the MRTG online?

Atjeu
01-08-2003, 02:40 AM
not the mrtg, its actually rrdtool, what we are using for billing

Yea, ok that what I meant. the rrdtool.

Atjeu

Great, working fine. but take offline the login and change the username and passwords.

Your default username and password are easy to guess. I can login to any account....

Please change it SOON!!!

Well by the time I got here it was changed to a different system with random passwords, so I guess your prob was solved.

Anyway, it's really cool. It doesn't work with Netscape 4 but it does with Mozilla, that's good enough - important is that I don't have to use it through a security hole larger than a house ( = M$ IE). smile.gif

Why don't you try PerlBill (http://www.perlbill.com)? They have a help desk and billing software, and it is pretty cheap.

We tried all the commercially available products and they simply dont work well for a company like ours not including they do not have bandwidth monitoring capability.
