Compiling apache gives an instalation error on the PEAR environment, causing any php scripts running to have parse errors:

If you encounter this prob:

Updating Apache from Software>Update Apache in WHM and selecting PHP Ver 4.2.3 Fixed the prob. All the proggies work now.

I will just run 4.2.3 and when they fix the issue and upgrade back up.

What version of the WHM/cPanel are you currently running?

I am running WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.5-E59 with Apache Core 1.3.29 and PHP 4.3.4. I am not experiencing any issues with any of my PHP scripts.

I am (and was yeaterday) running WHM 8.5.4 cPanel 8.5.5-E59 PHP 4.3.3.

The problem seemed specific to Ver 4.3.3, on upgrding to 4.3.4 everything worked.
