So my site was ahcked a few months back, and now the hacker is back.. (same mo, same names, etc etc etc) and we have caught him.

I contact his isp (logical place to go) and they say..

"What do ya want us to do about it?". Pretty lousy attitude for an ISP, when they are being used as a vehicle for the commision of a crime. Hacking IS a crime isnt it? breaking and entering? theft, vandelism?

Now.. what i am wondering is..

What are the legal ramifications of hacking, and who do we go to?

I can add ip addresses to the firewall tp block all access, but this is such a blanket, when typical hackers are using thier "mommy and daddies" internet account with a large ISP, such as Comcast, AOL, or COX.

We also have people hitting us from europe, (germany, denmark, france and romania( mostly from internet cafes..

Now i KNOW my site isn't some major corportation, but it IS a buisness, and i am losing revenue due to downtime caused by them.

Do I go to local law enforcement? Do I go to federal agencies? Do i go to Atjeu ?

The american ISPS arnt being very helpfull, what are my chances with the european ones?

Any ideas?
